As I left work I was still in a mood, large fat drops of rain falling from the heavens dampening not only the ground but my spirits.
But then I looked up from my car on the parking deck and damn if there wasn't a brilliant rainbow arching its way across the sky.
Sometimes it's the little things that can erase an entire day of insanity.
Have a good weekend!

I feel your pain... though one Friday, about two and half years ago, I had to work late. I was really annoyed about it and grumbled all afternoon. I ended up taking a later train than usual and started talking to this guy. We're getting married next summer.
Okay, I am not one of those girls who usually goes "awww" but damn your comment made me go "awww".
It's nice to know that working late can lead you somewhere other than a mental ward.
I wrote about a similar thing that happened to me last summer.... didn't have to work late, but had a hellish day at work that had me in tears by the time I reached the car. But then... I looked up.

and back when I worked I dreaded working late I would avoid it at all costs because I hated going home in the dark of night.
