I have no idea what I am doing or what the point of it all is, but I like to jump on technology bandwagons when they come rolling my way.
So any suggestions or tips or insults about me joining would be appreciated.

DON'T DO IT! It's soooooo not you.
I believe what I'm about to say about you is accurate.
You like to write, the thought process and the composition. But you're not as 'chatty' as a reader of your blog might think.
You don't do chatrooms. You're not a habitual (addicted) text messenger. Those snipets of inane chatter are mostly boring to you.
You prefer the seriously considered opinion....even if it's not really serious....over the mindless clutter of chat.
Twitter is the lowest form of chat.
Facebook is the second lowest.
This is why 2/3 of all new Twitter accounts last one month and then die the death of inactivity.
Twitter is not you.
I concur. Twitter is for non-writers. Blogging is for warriors Mad-Max style, with a lot of history behind and much more ahead. I wouldn't respect anybody who's just twitting, but bloggers deserve all my respect, regardless of the content of their blog.
I enjoy your blog, despite you being maybe the most selfish blogger ever.
David - ouch!
I've thought about Twitter, but the character limit cramps my style.
I second the 'ouch'. I'm not sure where that comment came from.
Whoa, Whoa Whoa...
I guess I am the third person who has no idea where that "selfish" statement came from...
And the main reason i jumped on Twitter was that someone pointed out to me that @TheOfficeScribe was still available, and I was suddenly afraid someone else might take it!
Uuuuuuuhm... yeah, I'm afraid you're right people, "selfish" it's too much. I was thinking about the fact that, in the many times I have commented on this blog, is the first time I have received a half-response. It's not that my comments are particularly interesting, of course, but my grandma taught me that whenever someone greet me I must greet back. I apologize, Scribe... I understand if you demand a satisfaction, a duel at dawn and all that.
Regards!
Don't do it. I wont go to see it. Your blog is my favorite, and I always look foward to it. This 'TWITTER' thing is about as low class as you can get.
I don't think I am going to do too much on Twitter because I have no idea what I am doing or what the point is. I guess I can only do so many things in technology...
And David I'll make sure to personally respond to each and every comment you post. Unless something more important comes up. Like a Slap Chop infomercial comes on.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA tooomuch
David kind of deserved that Slap Chop....but I do understand his basic idea. It is polite to acknowledge thoughtful replies in your blog.
Twitter and Facebook are the 'light fare' available for those who have difficulty composing more than a few sentences at once. They are modern chatrooms. I hate chatrooms.
Replies take thought and sometimes I am out of them by the end of the day...
But I will try and reply more. I am always impressed by bloggers who answer every reply to their posts. Must be nice to live in your parents basement.
